About Karen Dahlem
The first thing to know about Karen is that she is passionate and committed to the work she does. She believes that change is inevitable, and she thrives on helping others see change as an opportunity for growth and success.
Karen is President of Dahlem Consulting, a business that partners with organizations to manage organizational change. She also works with individuals to manage personal change.
She has a Master of Science in Organization Development (M.S.O.D) from American University in Washington, DC. She is fluent in French, Spanish and English. She is also fluent in the language of change.
Karen has significant international experience. She has lived and worked in Western and Eastern Europe, South America, North America (including Canada and Mexico), Asia, and North Africa.
When the project calls for a larger team, she collaborates with a consortium of Organization Development consultants whose expertise is also available to her clients.
Karen worked for over ten years with Computer Sciences Corporation and their clients (such as TSA, Ascension Health, General Dynamics, Nissan, Bombardier, Aon, and United Technologies) on large-scale IT outsourcing projects. She managed organizational change and communications and also lead various other teams.
A few of her other clients are Brown-Forman Corporation, Hosparus, Building Industry Association of Louisville, Community Foundation of Louisville and St. Meinrad Archabbey. In addition, she has coached several professionals in career transition.
Clients trust Karen because of her dedication, honesty, tenacity, leadership, insight, diligence, open communication and facilitation skills. Karen builds relationships that work, and many of her clients call her again when new challenges arise.
Prior to creating her consulting business, Karen spent five years in the Advancing Markets Group of Brown-Forman Corporation (a diversified producer and marketer of fine quality consumer products — wines, spirits, consumer durables). This division was responsible for developing business in the emerging markets of the world. Karen functioned as a change agent and partnered with colleagues globally.
